Gift Certificates
A customer will be able to buy one or more gift
certificates. They can then be used to pay for
any other products in your shop. They can be
used multiple times until the amount is used up.
You can create your own unique gift message
using a plain text editor such as notepad. Each
recipient of the gift certificate will receive
both the merchants message and the senders
message.
The merchant can control gift certificates by
specifying use-by date, a maximum amount of a
certificate and whether to activate them
automatically.
Certificates can
be automatically activated on purchase or
manually activated. If they are manually
activated the merchant must simply update one
field in the gift certificate record after
verifying payment has been made.
Coupons
Any number of different coupons can be created
by the merchant. They can provide a discount to
a specific product, a category of products or
all products. The merchant can control discount
coupons by specifying a start date, an ending
date and a limit to the number of uses.
Automatic Extended Descriptions
VP-ASP will be able to generate extended
descriptions for any or all products using a
template. A template is an HTML file you create
with you favorite editor such as FrontPage or
Dreamweaver.
VP-ASP will then merge database fields with your
template to created a extended description page.
In addition it can also add an order button to
the page so the customer can order directly from
this page.
This feature replaces the need to create
individual HTML pages for each of your products.
There can be one default template or individual
products can share templates. Templates can
display any field in the products table and
include any fields that you add to the database.
Templates can apply to allow products or have
different templates for groups of products. A
default template is supplied.
Affiliate
Processing
This allows you to associate sales you are
making with specific affiliates or distributors.
VP-ASP tracks and records how the customer came
to your site. It provides you with detailed
reports on the number of visits, number of sales
and commission. It has automatic registration of
the affiliate.
Mailing Templates
You will be able to create your own unique
message back to your clients using an editor
such as Word or Notepad. Currently to alter the
mail messages requires some knowledge of ASP
programming. This requirement is completely
eliminated using the mailing by template
facility. A default template is supplied.
Templates can be plain text or can be HTML. This
allows you to create unique nicely formatted
e-mail confirmations to your customers.
Mailing Enhancements
The standard VP-ASP bulk mailing facilities are
enhanced to allow HTML formatted mails.
Personalized bulk e-mail can be sent by merging
information from the database with a mailing
template that you create.
At the end of an order, you can create a list of
people to be mailed in addition to the normal
customer and merchant e-mails. Any number of
e-mails can be sent on the completion of the
order. For example, you could e-mail the sales
department and shipping department and your
mobile phone (provided your mobile phone has an
email address for receiving text messages). Each
e-mail can use a different template.
Customer Product Reviews
Customers can view and make comments on any
product. The merchant can optionally be mailed
each time a review is made. Review averages can
be automatically displayed when a product is
displayed.
Mailing to Suppliers
At the end of an order, the supplier can be
mailed the order information which will include
only products ordered from this supplier.
Image Upload
Upload images directly from your PC to FWHN and
assign them to products or categories.
Order Tracking
Merchants can write messages to customers
regarding delivery or shipping. Customers
receive e-mail confirmation and can view order
tracking messages using the VP-ASP service
center. Messages can be hidden from customers
and be directed to departments within the
organization. Full database logging of all
messages show a complete "conversation" or
status of the order.
Bulk
Import
Products, categories and any other table can be
imported into the VP-ASP tables. Field matching
for individual tables can be selected per table.
Static HTML Generation
All your products can be statically generated in
plain HTML for better search engine indexing.
Secure Downloads
The ability to deliver digital products via
hyperlinks and applying date and count limits.
Mail
on Processed
The ability to e-mail customer when the order is
processed using a defined template.
Merchant Restore Order
Allows the merchant to manipulate the order
details.
Generic Template Processing
The ability to merge any database table with any
HTML template to produce a formatted HTML
display. This can be used in a myriad of ways to
avoid the need to create HTML for newsletters
and site information. Simply edit the
information in the database and the new
information will be automatically displayed. Non
VP-ASP tables can be used.
